PDP holds Convention in Uri

Uri, 22 March: PDP here on today held a convention in border town of Northern Region of Kashmir. Over Three thousand Workers of Peoples Democratic Party participated in the Convention.

PDP Vice President Mohd Sartaj Madni, Advocate Abdul Haq Khan Minister for Rural Development Panchayati Raj and Law, Javed Hassan Beigh MLA Baramulla, Raja Aijaz Ali, Irsahd Rasool Kar district president Baramulla, Masrat Rasool Kar state secretary women wing , Sajad Bashir Lone District youth President Baramulla and PDP zonal/block presidents of the district adressed the workers.

On the occasion hundreds of NC and Congress workers joined PDP reposing their faith in leadership of Mehbooba Mufti.

While addressing workers Vice President of PDP Sartaj Madni applauding the enthusiasm of workers appreciated their dedication and high morale in spite of the tough time the party is going through.

He highlighted the vision of late Mufti Mohd Syed to have imaginary borders between the two countries of India and Pakistan and his efforts which made the LOC crossing from Uri and Chakandabad possible. He further appealed the workers to stay dedicated to the party’s mission. On the occasion Abdul Haq Khan lauded the workers for putting up such a grand show and assured them that he will take care of the demands put up by the workers regarding development, SBM, PMAY, etc.

He further assured that there won’t be any shortage of funds for the purpose. Raja Aijaz Ali while thanking the party workers for their participation expressed his anguish over the continued absence of the local MLA Mohd Shafi Uri and his failure to have visited even a single halqa and village of constituency since his election and also his continuous absence from district development boards which has deprived the area of its due development.

He further thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister for having magnanimously granted about 250cr dev activity in the shape of a parallel road to Uri and the PMGSY schemes in the area and also various construction ordered by her during her public outreach programs. Various speakers appreciated the able leadership of the Chief Minister for taking the state out of the crisis and for the public friendly decision of the government like amnesty to the stone pelter, regularization of 61000 daily wagers etc.
