Jammu, Mar 05: Director General of Police S P Vaid Monday said that the Police have started investigation into the Shopian incident in which two militants and four other persons were killed.
According to the KNS correspondent, talking to reporters here, Vaid said that the chain of events have taken place in Pahnoo village of Shopian district.
As per army, there was an ambush laid by the Army. Two vehicles came, as per the version of army, and they were asked to stop. But the militants fired from the vehicle. The army personnel retaliated in which two militants were killed along with four other persons,” the DGP said.
According to Vaid, the army said that the four persons were OGWs; however, police is investigating the case to ascertain the facts that these four persons actually were. (KNS)
