Bandipora, 23 March: Students of Government Middle School Pathkoot area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district took to Mini Secretariat Bandipora on Friday against shortage of teachers in the school. Hundreds of students assembled outside Mini Secretariat Bandipora and staged a sit in protest to press for the demands.

The students alleged that the school lacked teachers especially in Social Science and Mathematics.

“On one side the government is claiming that it will provide proper education to children especially in rural area but on the ground the claim has proved to be hollow,” a protesting student said.

The protesting students warned to restore teachers within one week otherwise, they will put lock on the school.
Also The students of Dachina staged a protest by blocking Bandipora Srinagar road, while as students of Pethkoot staged a protest in Mini Secretariat demanding adequate teaching staff.
