Srinagar, March 12: Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TeM) on Monday released details of the encounters of Hakoora, Anantnag and Kralkhud, Srinagar.

On Hakoora gunfight, TeM spokesperson in a statement issued to a news agency GNS said, “During midnight, the Indian forces cordoned off the area. During the search operation, an encounter broke between forces and mujahideen. Several forces were killed or injured and many forces’ vehicles were damaged. The mujahideen trashed the appeals of surrender by forces and fought till their last breath.”

“In the encounter, Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen district commander Muhammad Ehsan Fazili son of Muhammad Naeem Fazili alias Muhammad Eesa resident of Soura, Srinagar, and his associates Sabzar Ahmad Sofi were martyred. Eesa had joined the ranks of mujahideen ranks after completing BTech and rendered invaluable services for the movement. Syed Owais Shafi of Hizbul Mujahideen while fighting Indian forces also embraced martyrdom,” he said.

On Kralkhud attack on Saturday evening, the spokesperson said several CRPF personnel were injured and many vehicles of forces damaged.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson said that Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Ameer Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman has paid glorious tributes to slain militants and reiterated that their mission will be taken forward till the “dawn of freedom”.
