SRINAGAR : Today an extraordinary meeting of +2 lecturer aspirants in Tourism Managemant was convened at Pratap Park under the presidentship of Mr. Nazir Ahmad.

The agenda ot the meeting was to chalk out ways to convince the Government to create lecturer posts at +2 level.

In the meeting several points regarding the creation of posts at +2 level were discussed threadbare. The details are under:-

It is a well known fact that tourism as a subject has already been introduced at higher secondary level way back in 2011. But, unfortunately the government seems in no mood to create posts for the same.

Tourism being a professional and vocational subject has a lot of scope given the picturesque landscape and eco-friendly conditions of our state. It is the sun-rising industry and provides a lot of potential for the socio-economic development of the state.

“As a matter of fact Tourism has also been introduced at secondary school level as a vocational subject. Now what needs to be done is the creation of posts at +2 level to augment the already gained introductory knowledge of the secondary school students.”

In the meeting all the participants pledged their full support to the president who in turn devised a strategy to achieve the desired goal of the tourism +2 lecturer aspirants.
