Over 75 vehicles challaned: DTI

Srinagar, Mar 08: Traffic Police Anantnag on Thursday claimed to have challaned over 75 vehicles for violating the traffic norms.
Fayaz Ahmad Khan District Traffic Inspector Anantnag told KNS that following the directions given by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Traffic Basant Rath and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Rural, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, a special drive was launched in the district against the norm violators.
“At least three teams were constituted today to tighten grip against the norm violators. Over 75 vehicles especially commercial were booked for violating the traffic norms,” he said, adding that the focus during the drive remained on use of pressure horns. (KNS)
