Trooper kills self in Kashmir capital Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 10: An Indian trooper posted in Kashmir capital Srinagar ended his life by shooting self with his service rifle.

 Police sources said that Constable Sukhdev from 79 Battalion CRPF shot self to death using his service rifle.

Confirming the incident, Srinagar based PRO, Central Reserve Police Force said that the trooper died on spot.

“Matter is being investigated to know the reason what prompted him to take this extreme step,” he added.

It was the third such incident in this week. Earlier, in two separate incidents, two soldiers from Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army killed themselves in North Kashmir. (CNS)
