Govt is taking U turn from the promises made by it, will fight tooth and nail against this false dictate: Chairman Aijaz Khan
Srinagar, April 22: Employees joint consultative committee Jammu and Kashmir (EJCC) has strongly rejected the statement given by education minister regarding the salary of SSA Teachers which has created chose and confusions among thousands of teachers working under SSA scheme.
EJCC chairman Aijaz Ahmad Khan said that such statements are very unfortunate and a responsible minister should not give such statements. The Govt had already announced in State budget 2016-17 that the salaries of teachers working under SSA will be delinking from the central source and these teachers will be given salaries in time on regular basis, now these statements shows the u turn taken by state Govt regarding its own promises and announcements.
It is responsibility of the state Govt to solve the issue once and for all. If the Govt will make its hands up then who will came to address the issues and solve them, Hon’ble education minister who too holds the finance ministry has enough guts to solve this human problem, such statements can’t be expected from such a dynamic minister. It is none of the fault of a teacher, they are working honestly at their places but it is the Govt which make their condition miserable, thousands of teachers and their families are facing hardships, the state Govt should think positively and should come with a concrete solution for this grave problem. EJCC is Committed to its promise to fight tooth and nail against such terrible dictates.
Bashir Ahmad Ganaie another EJCC leader termed this statement of Education Minister as childish in nature, it has hurt thousands of teachers of the state, who have been subjected to very miserable condition by keeping their salaries withheld for months, and appeals the Hon’ble chief minister to take personal interests in this human issue and solve it for once, so that future of thousands of teachers could be make safe.
At least 42000 thousand teachers and their families are at the verge of starvation, they are paying for none of their faults. it is the responsibility of the state Govt to save their future. If a nation builder will be subjected to such a miserable condition how can be a nation flourish?
EJCC appeals the state Govt especially the chief minister to come forward for the settlement of this human issue. The Govt can’t force these teachers to come on roads all the time. It is shame for the Govt that a nation builder is forced for starvation, how we can expect good results in the field of education which is the basis of a civilised society, how could we form a healthy society in which nation builders would have been subject to mental torture by pushing him to the miserable financial conditions.
Hope the state Govt will take a final and concrete initiative to solve this human issue once and for all as the future of thousands of families and children is at stake.
EJCC will come up with a concrete programme regarding this grave issue and will discuss it in its next meeting which will be held on 25th of April 2018.
