JRL had called for Shopian chalo today
Srinagar, Apr 04: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani was Wednesday disallowed to march towards Shopian to express solidarity with the bereaved families of Shopian youth who were killed during encounters in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for Shopian chalo today to exhibit solidarity with the bereaved families of Shopian.
They were also scheduled to address gathering at Shopian.
Hurriyat leaders said that that a posse of policemen deployed outside Geelani’s residence cum office at Hyderpora prevented him from coming out. (KNS)
