Srinagar, April 02: In a negative development for valleyites, Mobile internet of all cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), remained suspended for the second successive day on Monday for security reasons in Kashmir valley. Allthough, broadband internet service of BSNL and point to point service of other providers were functioning though on a very low speed.
Pertinently, the services were suspended as precautionary measure following the civilian and militant killings three gunfights in town district of south Kashmir.
The authorities on Sunday directed all cellular companies to suspend 3G, 4G and 2G mobile internet services in the valley to prevent spread of any rumor on social media till further orders.
The suspension of the facility has badly hit all – professionals, media persons, and students.
“Frequent internet bans are crippling us and this badly hits the daily chorus of life as most of the activities in current times are heavily dependent on internet .From studies to research and business internet is backbone of all .Authorities should revisit there polices, stated Manzoor Ahmad, a student.
