Srinagar / 3rd April 2018// Killing and wounding Kashmiris with impunity and then unleashing crackdown against resistance camp to stop mourning and protests has been the main feature of PDP led Indian rule in Kashmir. From last four days, bullets, pellets, nocturnal raids and arrests have become an order of the day that has actually exposed Indian democracy in Kashmir. Despite heavy restrictions and oppression, JKLF delegation reaches Shupian and meets the bereaved families of recent martyrs.

From last many days police and forces have unleashed a reign of terror against resistance camp. Police on Monday morning arrested JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and shifted him to central jail Srinagar on a three day judicial remand. Police yesterday raided JKLF office at Abi-Guzar and arrested Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, he has been today shifted to central jail Srinagar. Prior to that JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakshi was also placed under house arrest from last Sunday. Today police shifted him to Bemina police station from where he has also been shifted to central jail Srinagar. Police has also arrested JKLF deputy chief organizer Siraj ud din Mir from his Tengmarg residence and he has been detained at Police station Kunzar. Police also raided the residence of JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal at Malabagh late last night. Police, SOG and CRPF at 1:30 during night barged into the residence of Noor Sahib after jumping over the outer walls as if they were doing some military exercise and after forced entry into the house, threatened and intimidated his family.

While Strongly condemning this ongoing police oppression, JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal in a statement has said that police and forces first kill and wound Kashmiris with impunity and then to stop peaceful protest and mourning, start operations to arrest and intimidate resistance camp. He said that from last four days 19 Kashmiris have been killed by bullets, shells, and pellets and more than three hundred have been injured most of them with pellets, but even these killings and oppression has not satisfied the conscience of PDP led Indian rulers in Kashmir as they have unleashed more terror against peaceful political activists, leaders and common citizens across the valley which is highly condemnable.

Meanwhile at the orders of Zonal president JKLF Noor Muhammad Kalwal, a JKLF delegation led by Deputy Zonal president Muhammad Yasin Butt, Zahoor Ahmad Butt , Muhammad Altaf Raina and Shabir Ahmad managed to reach Shupian and visited the bereaved families of those martyred on Sunday. Delegation managed to reach to the families of martyrs Zubair Ahmad Turray, Ubaid Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, Adil Ahmad Thokar, Nazim Nazeer, Sameer Ahmad, Imaad Ahmad Malik, Ishfaq Majeed, Raees Ahmad Thokar, Gayas ul Islam and Muhammad Iqbal Butt and paid rich tributes to these martyrs, Delegation also delivered the message of solidarity to these bereaved families. Speaking on the occasion, JKLF leaders said that martyrs have laid down their lives for our better tomorrow and Kashmiri nation is indebted to these great sons of soil. While paying rich tributes to all Martyr Leaders prayed for their elevation in Jannah and also prayed for the Sabr-I-Jamil to their bereaved families.

It is pertinent to mention that JKLF leaders and activists also organize funeral prayers in absentia for Shupian martyrs at various places. JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) led prayers at Ganderbal whereas Muhammad Shamim and Meraj ud din Parray led prayers at Siotaing Lasjan. JKLF senior Zahoor Ahmad Butt also led Funeral prayers at Badamwari Srinagar.
