Kautha rape: Peacefull Protest held Before final match of Cricket tournament in Bandipora

Bandipora, April 15: Peacefull protest were held before the start of the grand finale of the Cricket tournament Namly Nadim Memorial cricket tournament which was played between United Cricked Club Gundpora and Marder 11 in Gamroo Bandipora.

The cricketers assembled in the play ground premises beforethe start of the match and staged a massive peaceful demonstration against the civilian killings and Kathua rape and murder case.

“Sarjeel bhai se Rishta Kya, La Illaha Illalah, Amir Bhai Se Rishta Kya, Asifa behan se Rishta Kya, Neelofar Behan Se Rishta Kya, La Illah Illalah,” the cricketers chanted.

The cricketers were holding the placards that read, “Stop innocent killings; Aasifa kay Katiloo kou Fansi dou, We want Freedom; Justice Not Bullets; Freedom; Indian Brutalities In Kashmir, World Powers are Silent.

Reacting to the rape and murder of 8 year old Nomad Muslim girl in Kuthua,the Cricketers said, “Asifa wasn’t a terrorist. She did nothing wrong. She wasn’t a terrorist but yes a Muslim. They are forcing us to pick Guns. We appeal the Governments to stop killings in Kashmir and deliver justice to Kathua rape and murder victim,” they said.

The protesting cricketers in the play ground dispersed peacefully.
