Terms the act as severe human rights violation
Srinagar, Apr 08: Mahmood Shah, Chief Lashkar-e-Taiba, has strongly condemned the arrest of 7 members of Dukhtaran-e-Millat and termed the act as severe human rights violation. Since when is the offering of condolences to the families of martyrs is considered a crime? In reality, India is much afraid of the participation of women in the freedom struggle and the presence of women in huge numbers in the funeral prayers worries India and reminds them of their utter frustration.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznawi quoted the outfit chief, Mahmood Shah said that ‘our mothers and sisters act as freedom fighters despite being unarmed. Or is it that the Indian forces are such cowards that they see their death in them. Mahmood Shah condemned the installation of barbed wires so as to abstain people from offering their condolences at shaheed Mussawir’s home. This is nothing but a human rights violations. This is evident to the lack of ethics in Indian forces”.
“The civilized societies uphold the honor of women and children in ages of war. But it is the Indian forces which lack such traits and are among the worst of the forces in the world”, he said.
Mahmood Shah further said Mehbooba Mufti must prove her Kashmiri origin and her civility by ordering the release of arrested. (KNS)
