Says Hurriyat leadership was ‘caged’ once again
Srinagar, Apr 06: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday lashed out at state government for ‘caging’ the Hurriyat leadership once again and barring people to offer mandatory Friday congregational prayers at historic Jamia Masjid.
Mirwaiz wrote on twitter that the 81 year old ad ailing AAC veteran Ghulam Muhammad Zaki was also not spared as he was arrested during nocturnal raids in Sopore.
“Once again curfew restrictions and arrests! people and leadership barred from offering Friday Prayers in mosques including #JamaMasjid Srinagar.81 year old and ailing AAC veteran Ghulam Mohd Zaki also not spared, arrested and jailed in a nocturnal raid at his house in Sopore!,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
