SRINAGAR, APR 28: The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday congratulated the seven candidates from J&K who have qualified the Union Public Service Commission-2017 examination, stating that such moments are the remarkable demonstrations for the prosperous, lively and stronger society.
Lauding the hard work put forth by the civil service aspirants in cracking the exam, PDP General Secretary Mansoor Hussain Soharwardhy said state’s younger generation have proved once again that they are second to none in the country when it comes to proving their abilities and worth on national and international forums. They have drained the chalice of strong will, courage and hardwork.
Mansoor said that such youth have been time and again given the state new reasons to look beyond the horizon and scan new heights with eager hope and courage. “The success of the candidates from the state in civil services has taught us that we cannot solve the challenges of our time unless we solve them all together and we perfect our union by understanding that we may have different stories but we have common hopes; to move in the same direction for a better future for our generations,” Mansoor said.
The PDP General Secretary said that the youth in the state of Jammu and Kashmir have been bringing laurels to their land and have become the torchbearers for all to explore the freshness of deep springs of a peaceful society, a quality of emotions and a temper of will.
He added that land of Kashmir has produced in abundance the seers, philosophers and scholars acknowledged by the world for centuries. “The present generation is striving to tread the path of brilliance and uphold state’s reputation of being the hub of learning and wisdom,” Mansoor said.
He said it was Alama Sir Mohammad Iqbal who highlighted the worth of Kashmir and its abilities when he wrote: Khitte ra aan shah-e-darya-asteen, Daad ilm-o-sanat-o-tehzib-o-deen, Aafrid aan mard-e-Iran-e-Sagher, Baa hunarha-e-gharib-o-dilpazeer (The lord in his unbounded generosity gave to this land knowledge, arts, manners and religion. And thus create a place having skills which are rare and attractive)
The PDP General Secretary also hailed the government for being considerate towards the issued faced by the SRO-202 appointees and giving them the benefits of the 7th pay commission. He said that the government is committed to taking a holistic view on the SRO-202 so that the appointees are provided equal opportunities in their services and aren’t discriminated in terms of any benefits whenever rolled out for the state government employees.
