Aligarh, 06 April :
Hundreds of students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) protested on Friday against the ongoing killings of civilians in Kashmir. Raising the peace slogans and covering their one eye each with bandage to represent the pellet victims of Kashmir, the students held a march from Jamia Masjid AMU to University Circle after Friday Prayers. The protesters condemned the use of force in Kashmir. They said efforts should be made to resolve Kashmir, instead of discussing Kashmir only when the situation in the region turns violent. They said the Indian state has been ignoring the plight of the people who have been under occupation from 1947.The focus should be on ending the human rights violations in Kashmir, removal of draconian laws like AFSPA.
