‘Communal forces creating rift for political gains’
Banihal, Apr 10: National Conference leader and District President Ramban Haji Sajjad Shaheen has urged upon the Ulemas of diffrent school of thoughts to make efforts in ensuring sectarian harmony and lead the society in getting it out of the difficulties faced by the Ummah by showing it the right path.
According to the statement issued to KNS, Shaheen was speaking at “Bazm-e-Abrar” a yearly event of debate competition organised by Madrasa Faiz-ul-Islam Nagbal, Banihal which was attended by prominent religious leaders and scholars of the area.
While lauding the role of Madrasa Faiz-ul- Islam Banihal for providing Islamic education and shaping the lives of hundreds of students for the last two decates, Shaheen recalled the day when foundation of this madrasa was laid in 1998 of which he was a part of and since then i have seen this institution growing by each passing day by the tireless efforts of Molana Gulam Rasool Muftahi and his entire team.
Shaheen said that our madaris have a historical significance and the Muslim Community has an emotional attachment to them. They should work towards the educational upliftment of the community and should also drive the moral, educational and cultural ethics in the community & organize good debates and dialogues gives the right direction to society and strengthens their voices, he said.

Shaheen came down heavily on the politics of provocation and hatred. He said that provocative and nonsensical issues are being raked up as part of the mischievous plan to deflect people’s attention from pressing issues. The hate campaign helps the ruling dispensation to keep people involved in superfluous issues. Shaheen said that we need to unite and stand firm against the campaign of hate and fight till the last breath to upkeep the national unity and communal amity of the country.
“Nobody can play mischief against Muslims if they stick to the commandments of Allah and the Prophet (SAW), “he underlined it with emphasis. There is no denying the fact that the Muslims are confronted with many challenges today, but Islam is faced with even bigger challenge. The Muslims themselves can address this challenge by building their character.
Appealing the media to play key role in strengthening national unity by exposing the communal forces engaged in creating rifts to achieve their political or ideological goals. Media organizations are urged to selflessly promote communal amity, peace and unity.
