Says Credibility of Both Nirmal Singh and Army is at stake
Kupwara 12 May: Expressing sympathy with Dr. Nirmal Singh, who is speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly, for his revelations of being harassed by Army at Nagrota in connection with construction of his house, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has demanded that world should learn if the most powerful man of Sangh Parivar is facing harassment at the hands of Army what could be fate of a common man in J&K. While interacting with people at various places in Kupwara today Er. Rasheed said “Whenever Kashmiris have been alleging harassment and brutalities through army, they are being labelled as anti-nationals and Pakistani agents and very often their voices go unheard. Now when Dr. Nirmal Singh who has also remained the Deputy Chief Minister of the state is claiming harassment at the hands of Army, not only state Govt. but army must come out with the facts without any delay. Dr. Nirmal Singh needs to be reminded that Kashmiris have been facing huge humiliations at the hands of security forces and there are scores of buildings occupied illegally by Army but nobody is allowed to open the mouth. Even at places people are denied entry to their land in areas like Karnah, Karen, Gurez and Uri. Dr. Nirmal Singh should now wakeup and raise his voice against all such violations and must feel pain of a common Kashmiri”. Er. Rasheed said that people need to be told the truth and defense ministry must clean over the issue as credibility and both Nirmal Singh and Army is at stake.
