Terms incident as unfortunate

Srinagar, May 03: Abdul Qayoom Wani Chairman Jammu and Kashmir teachers forum condemned the stone pelting incident on school bus at Shopian and termed the incident as unfortunate.
In a statement issued to KNS, Wani said that student community is our future and they need to be protected and given love and affection.
He appealed the general public that during peaceful protests the vehicles carrying students and the ambulances should not be targeted. Wani said that students are our future and we should be sensitive enough in shaping our future for better tomorrow.
Chairman JK teachers forum also condemned the killing of innocent student Umer Ahmad Kumar son of Late Mohd Abdullah Kumar resident of Turkwangan Shopian by security forces and expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved family and prayer for speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
He also demanded a high level inquiry into the incident. Wani urged the government to release all the students arrested during the peaceful protests so that their future is not marred and demanded an immediate and complete ban on the use of pellet guns besides there should not be deployment of security forces near schools so that academic atmosphere is not disturbed in schools.
