Srinagar, May 1: Hurriyat Conference (G) on Tuesday termed it as dictatorial the decision of authorities to put political leaders and activists under house detention.
Hurriyat (G) in a statement issued to GNS said the arrests and detention of its leaders and activists including Mohd Ashraf Sehrai, Haji Gh Nabi Sumji, Gh Ahmad Gulzar, Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi, Bilal Sidiqee, Mohd Ashraf Laya, Omer Adil Dar and Syed Imtiyaz Hyder is unjustified.
“It is a deliberate attempt to keep the leaders away from masses,” Hurriyat (G) said and added that authorities feel scared about people’s sentiments and lay undue curbs and restrictions.
“No one can stop us from our mission,” Hurriyat (G) said and appealed international community to take cognizance and play its role and “feel the pain people are facing due to continuous and forced occupation”. (GNS)
