Srinagar, May 28: The residents of Sugan village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday accused government forces of vandalizing dozens of houses and damaging few apple orchards following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion that left three soldiers wounded.
Locals of the area said following the blast, the forces ransacked several residential houses and damaged several apple orchards by cutting down branches of trees.
One of the houses ransacked by forces, locals said, belongs to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Zeenat-ul-Islam.
Three soldiers were injured after militants triggered an IED blast – planted near a water tank in the village – today morning, police said.
