Bandipora, May 02: Militants last night appeared in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district and addressed people on Tuesday evening.
Witnesses told that two militants appeared in the Kochak Mohalla and fired some shots in air which created panic for some time. However, when locals saw militants, they came out of their homes to have glimpses of them.
They said that hundreds of people took out a rally in support of the militants who later addressed them.
The militants in their address threatened the “informers” and advised them to shun the “wrong path” or face the consequences. They also asked girls to avoid body tight clothing while going to schools.
Militants fired some shots in air at the grave of Abu Haris, a non local militant killed in a gunfight recently.
Meanwhile the crowd chanted pro-freedom and pro-Islamic slogans and continued the sloganeering even after the militants had left the spot.
