Srinagar, May 14: Congress leader and former minister Taj Taj Mohiuddin Monday asked party workers to gear up for elections. He addressed a series of public meetings at Chotali, Thajal and Naganari in Uri Assembly segment.

Taj described the ruling dispensation as a complete failure, saying that the unnatural alliance between PDP BJP has crossed all limits of failure and discrimination.

Taj lashed out at ruling dispensation of PDP BJP for the current crisis in the State, besides hardships people were facing due to the lackadaisical attitude of the ruling dispensation.

“The developmental scenario started by successive UPA Government has come to standstill. Corruption, favouritisms and nepotism have become the hallmark of the ruling dispensation, even the people were being made to pay for construction of toilets constructed under the so-called scheme Swach Bharat Mission (SBM), dilapidated condition of roads, lack of basic amenities including non- availability of essentials have added miseries to people living in far flung places,” he said.

Taj said that this Government is going to fall shortly because of anti-people and wrong policies adopted by it and emphasized people to gear up for elections and ensure that PDP BJP combination is defeated. He said it is the Congress Party alone which has served the people best and it will continue to represent urges and aspirations of the people.

He added that administration is biased towards people, rising unemployment, lack of basic facilities, step-motherly attitude of ruling dispensation, and discrimination with the people has added to the woes of people. (CNS)
