Srinagar, May 17: Conglomerate of militant outfits United Jehad Council has called a special meeting to discuss the Ceasefire declaration made by Government of India in Kashmir for the month of Ramadan.
Well placed sources informed news agency CNS that unlike Lashkar-e-Taiba, that out-rightly rejected the ceasefire offer and termed the move as drama, the United Jehad Council led by Syed Salahuddin has decided to think over it and take a final call only after the high command council meeting.
Insiders said that meeting is expected in one or two days that will be attended by the representatives of all militant outfits’ part of United Jehad Council. “With regard to Ceasefire, UJC may adopt the same line as has been followed by LeT, but still it wants to discuss the issue threadbare. The present situation will also be discussed in the meeting,” they said. (CNS)
