Safina Beigh chairs interactive meet of KYEF woman wing
Srinagar, Jun 03: During the interaction with Safina Beigh Head Women Wing PDP, she asserted “gone are the days when women were considered no match for all powerful men in this world. The new generation women across the world have overcome all negative notions and have proved themselves beyond doubt in all spheres of life including the most intricate and cumbersome world of entrepreneurship”.
Women have come a long way from just being a homemaker. The boom of Startup friendly environment in the state has proved to be a blessing for female entrepreneurs and instrumental in fighting gender stereotyping in the business community.
Babar Chowdhary organised an interactive session on Saturday to discuss Vision 2030 to provide space and empower women, through Kashmir Youth Entrepreneurs Federation Woman Wing, chaired by PDP Women Wing Head Safina Beigh.
During the meeting, Safina Beigh suggested creating a mass awareness among youth at their young age so that they come out successful in their life from the beginning.
She assured all help to the aspiring entrepreneurs in their endeavors and promised that she would fight for equal opportunities for woman in every sphere of life.
Many entrepreneurs suggested reaching out to the women and bridging the gap between them and the government so as to make them aware about various schemes which aspiring woman entrepreneurs can avail.
She said KYEF would launch massive awareness campaign through many out-reach programs and help women empower so that they become self-reliant at the young age before they are married off.
“We will identify all the issues women folk especially aspiring entrepreneurs are facing to reach their goals. We will also ensure they benefit from all the schemes both state and centrally sponsored so that they become role models for youth,” said Safina Beigh.
She also stressed on involving youth in sports activities so as to provide them relief from the day to day stressful life created due to prevailing situation and also due to increasing employment.
“We want all small business unit start up schemes to be implemented in Kashmir so that women will come out from the conventional cocoon and start their own ventures. There are many females who desires to do something of their own and earn and decent livelihood besides generating the employability in the Kashmir region.” Said Babar Chowdhary, President KYEF
“Women entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir are bringing about a lot of development in the public and private sectors, More than two dozen Kashmir women entrepreneurs are currently in private sector earning their livelihood and generating employment.” Said Nishah Zargar
Babar stressed upon the lack of exposure in Kashmir due to political instability and other factors that has marred the growth of Kashmir entrepreneurship. With the help of Safina Ji’s support, KYEF would like to extend possible help to create awareness among women startups related schemes that State Government provides to the women entrepreneurs.
President KYEF Babar Chowdhary appreciated PDP Women Wing President for holding an interactive meet with the women entrepreneurs.
The meeting was attended by Hina Chowdhary ( Director Chowdhary Group) Saima Akram (Women entrepreneur) Shafia Naqshbandi (women entrepreneur) Esha Gojwari (Doctor) Soha Wani (Principal Bonvent School) (Sheikh Zaid) (Nishah Zargar) (Insha Qazi) and various other women entrepreneurs were present in the meeting.
