‘After Vajpayee’s offer of dialogue in 2004, the offer has come again in 2018’
Srinagar, Jun 03: Saying that the youth of Kashmir have the parental potential to shine in every sphere of life but have not a congenial atmosphere to prove their worth as schools, colleges, business establishments and trade and industry is shut, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti thanked her party workers for their support in most difficult times as otherwise she according to her won’t have successfully come out of the difficult situation that erupted in Kashmir in recent years. Chief Minister was addressing a gathering of her party workers of Srinagar and Budgam districts at S K Park Srinagar.
According to the KNS correspondent, asking the separatists to cease the opportunity of dialogue offered to them by the incumbent central government, Chief Minister said that after Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2005, the incumbent central government has announced unilateral ceasefire and offered dialogue with dignity to the people of Kashmir.
Calling upon the separatist leadership to cease the opportunity for dialogue Chief Minister said “such opportunities of dialogue don’t come always but this time Home Minister of India has announced unilateral ceasefire and offered unconditional dialogue offer to people of all hues. Let the separatist leadership come forward for dialogue to end bloodshed in Kashmir. The ceasefire has halted the nonstop incidents of killings and dialogue with the separatists can be held the same way it was held between the then Deputy Prime Minister L K Adavni and separatist leaders during the reign of Vajpayee government in the year 2004.” (KNS)
