Shopian, June 23: An encounter broke out between militants and government forces in Darmdora village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.

Official sources said that a joint team of 44 battalions of Rashtriya Rifles and SOG of police cordoned off the Darmdora village in Shopian following the specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Unconfirmed reports said that one civilian has also received a bullet injury in a firing.
