Srinagar, June 11: Governor N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have felicitated the people on Shab-i-Qadr.
In a message of greetings, the Governor hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
In her message, the Chief Minister appealed to people to pray wholeheartedly during this night for peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the State. She said the blessed night, during which the Holy Quran was revealed, is an occasion for us to introspect our lives, seek Allah’s forgiveness, generosity and guidance.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has directed the authorities of Wakf Board and Wakf Council, divisional administrations of Kashmir and Jammu to provide all facilities of drinking water, electricity, sanitation, traffic arrangements etc to the devotees at the shrines and mosques across the State during the night long prayers.
