Muslim League holds executive council meet

Srinagar, June 5: A central meeting of executive council of Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir was held at its head office Srinagar on Tuesday.

A League spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi in a statement issued to GNS said the meeting was called to strengthen the League at grassroots level and discuss further strategy keeping in view the ongoing struggle.

He said the acting chairman of League Abdul Ahad Parra presided over the meeting, which was attended by central as well as district members.

Parra took stock of prevailing situation in Valley and directed the central leaders and members to strengthen the League at grassroots level, Ayobi said.

“Indian government, agencies, print as well as electronic media leave no stone unturned to malign the movement and to defame the freedom struggle in Kashmir. For that they are using certain tactics. Kashmir freedom struggle is like a prayer for us and we will never be cowed down by misleading reports carried out by national media,” Parra on the occasion said.

He stressed upon the party activists to make the League more vibrant and active on ground. (GNS)
