Srinagar, June 27: Muslim league Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday convened an “extraordinary” meeting at its party headquarters here.
A League spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi in a statement issued to GNS said the meeting presided by ML acting chairman Abdul Ahad Parra was attended by all the central leaders, party activists, and office bearers.
Ayobi said the meeting was aimed at strengthening the League at grassroot level and chart out a future strategy regarding the ongoing struggle.
“In the meeting, the ongoing freedom struggle and present political situation of Kashmir Valley was discussed,” the spokesperson said adding that the ML acting chairman decided to take certain steps to make the League more vibrant and active on the ground.
Parra while addressing the meeting reiterated that the struggle for right to self-determination will continue.
“The people have rendered countless sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and the liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs,” Parra said.
He also condemned the alleged thrashing and beating of civilians, ransacking and vandalizing of public property in Gunahpora Langate, Badrah Payeen Kupwara and other places, by government forces. (GNS)
