Muslim League slams authorities for not producing its incarcerated members in court

Srinagar, June 28: Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday castigated authorities for not producing the party bearers in High Court despite court orders.

A League spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi in a statement issued to GNS said authorities have desecrated the court orders.

Ayobi also condemned the “denial of justice” to League office bearers and termed it as a political vendetta. “Mohammad Yusuf Mir, Assadullah Parray, Showkat Hakim, Mehraj ud din Mandy and Molvi Sajad have not been produced in court despite court orders. This is the worst form of state terrorism and human rights violation,” he said.

He said authorities set new policies and methods for their continued imprisonment under “baseless” cases.

“Police is deliberately doing it under a plan so that they are not released by the court,” he said adding, “The policy adopted by authorities cannot break their will and courage.”

Meanwhile, the League spokesperson has strongly condemned the arrest of district president Bandipora Ghulam Hassan Shah, Muzaffar Ahmad Lone, Naseer Ahmad, Zahid Rasool Ganie, Shahid Rasool Ganie, Sajad Ahmad Najar, Mohammad Ayoub Ganie and Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie “without any rhyme and reason”.

“This is worst kind of human rights violation and barbaric and vile action of brutality,” Ayoubi said. (GNS)
