Police arrested and booked five youths for misbehaving with worshippers during Tarawi prayers

Pulwama 14 June: Police on Tuesday arrested and booked five youths for misbehaving with worshippers during Tarawi prayers on Tuesday in Sultania Jamia Masjid, in Naman area of Kakpora in Pulwama district, officials said.

The five youths were arrested after a video surfaced on social media showing youth acting mischievously during Taraweeh prayers in villageNaman, Kakpora, a senior police official told Kashmir Reader.

“All the boys were arrested after the video went viral sparking off outrage against the act and netizens calling for strict action against the boys” said a police officer, adding that one of theyouth arrested performing Umrah twice.

The officer said that Kakpora police station has
registered a case FIR No 19/2018 under sections 296 and 451 RPC against the arrested youths after villagers complained in the police station.
