Army conducts exposure visit for youth to Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 13: With an aim to integrate the youth of the far flung areas of the Valley, the Army organised a one day capacity building tour for the children of Baramulla District to Srinagar which was flagged off from Uplona on 13 July 2018.

A team of fifteen students accompanied by their teachers visited places like Ibaadat-e-Shahadat Museum, Dal Lake, Pari Mahal and Chashme Shahi Garden among others, thereby exposing them to the rich cultural heritage of the country.

After the flagging-in ceremony, the students expressed their gratitude towards the Army for providing them with such enriching opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Army in collaboration with Ali’s Sports Academy organised a Kickboxing Competition at Govt Middle School, Champazpura. Over 20 matches were conducted under various weight categories and the participants showcased enormous potential and excellent skills in the power-packed event. The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony and presentation of kickboxing kits to the academy. (KNB)
