Army pays tribute to slain para-trooper

Srinagar, July 12: Army Thursday paid tribute to Late Para trooper Mukut Bihari Meena who was killed during Counter militant operation on 11 July 2018 in Kupwara district, wherein one militant lost his life.

    In a ceremony at BB Cantt, Lt Gen AK Bhatt, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks, paid homage to the slain soldier.

  In a show of solidarity, representatives from other security agencies also joined in to pay their last respects to the slain soldier.

          The slain soldier Mukut Bihari Meena, was 24 years old and had joined the Army in 2011. He belonged to Village Ladaniya of Khanpur Tehsil in Jhalawar District, Rajasthan and is survived by his wife and parents.

            The mortal remains of the soldier were flown for last rites to his native place. (CNS)
