SRINAGAR, JULY 05: In past few days a Video clip of Mughal Garden Verinag was viral on Social Networking Sites clearly shows that fake entry receipt books were handed over to some unknown youth in the garden that were caught by the locals, the youth was illegally misbehaving with the tourists and collecting money in the garden.
The video clip was delivered to Press and the Higher ups by some persons immediately, the Higher Ups of the department takes Action against the process and intestate a investigating committee and the case is still under investigation. Soon after the Directorate Floriculture Started enquiry in this case, the Assistant Floriculture Officer Verinag got irritated and start misbehaving with the Photographers in the Garden.
According to the Sub Ordinates of the AFO Verinag they said that AFO Verinag verbally issue orders not to allow the three Photographers who were found delivering the Video clip to press by an excuse that they don’t have permissions to enter into the garden and allow only those who are not involved.
Notably that the Photography License is being issued under Tourism trade Act by Department of Tourism, and the Floriculture is Generating the Revenue of the Department by taking entry fee to enter into their parks and till date the department has not issued the License to any Photographer.
In March 2018 the Department issued an order enhancement in entry fee from five thousand to ten thousand after which Photographers Association Srinagar Filed a case against the implementation of the Order in Hon able High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and till date Hon’ble Court have not issued any kind of Instructions to the department regarding the same .
As the Permissions for entry issued in 2017 have been expired in March 2018 and all the Photographers are entering into the Garden without taking new Permission as the Department have not issued the new permission to any one yet, and after this terming any one legal or illegal for entering into the Parks of the Department may be termed as the Violation of the Rules and regulations of Department.
Meanwhile District Floriculture Officer Anantnag Mubashir Hussain told Press Trust of Kashmir that “we are scheduled a meeting with Director Floriculture and we will be discuss the same there”. (PTK)
