Gandoh, July 16:
Congress Committee (BCC) Bhalessa today held protest demonstration for the worst condition of Thathri-Gandoh-Kilotran road, power crisis, water and shortage of essential commodities at Bhalessa.
Led by former minister and senior PCC leader Mohd Shrief Niaz, a large number of Congress workers assembled in Busstand Gandoh here and started protest during the day.
The members projected various issues pertaining to shortage of essential commodities, absenteeism in schools, hospitals and other offices, shortage of staff, worst condition of road, non-payment of NREGA works to the labourers, shortage of ration in the entire area.
Niaz alleged that people of Bhalessa are facing acute shortage of water, power as the administration has failed to provide essential services to the public.Most parts of Bhalessa are reeling under acute water and power supply
The administration has not taken effective steps to solve the problem.
Niaz also said that electricity cuts are being imposed for long hours and people are made to suffer. Drinking water is also not supplied regularly. Both these commodities, which are necessary in day to day life are not available. The people have been left on the mercy of God.
Prominent among those who joined protest Block president Congress Om Parkash Parhiar, Younis Malik, Shahnawaz Sheikh and Fayaz Ahmed.
