Srinagar, Jul 13: BJP on Friday asked PDP president Mehbooba Mufti to desist from making irresponsible remarks like the one she made at the martyrs graveyard Naqashband Sahab Srinagar.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), BJP State Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul said “Mehbooba Mufti saying that if Delhi breaks PDP, new militants like Yasin Malik and Salahudin will take birth, is highly irresponsible and she should desist from making such statements in future. We knew that Mehbooba would make such statements and it is for this reason that BJP decided to pull out from the government she was heading in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Saying that today’s press statements of the dissident PDP rebels are part of an internal matter of PDP, Koul said “if someone faces trouble in his own family, he can’t blame neighbours for the trouble he is facing within the family.”
Saying that BJP’s doors are open for political re-engagement to everyone, Ashok Koul however ruled out any possibility of forming any government with any party in Jammu and Kashmir right now. In future the only two parameters for forging any alliance with any party will be based on only two issues Governance and development and no other conditions for any alliance would be acceptable to BJP.
Clarifying that BJP is not opposed to state holiday on 13th July, Koul said “July 13th will continue to be a state holiday and BJP is not opposed to it.” (KNS)
