DODA, July 21: The surprising move by an IFS officer by obtaining the stay on his transfer from the J&K High Court has put the Government and Forest Department in a difficult situation. The officer in question namely Shri Tej Bahadur Singh, IFS obtained a stay on Government Order issued on 07-06-2018 on 27-06-2018 from J&K High Court even after the fact that order has already been implemented on 14-06-2018 and Shri Tej Bahadur Singh, IFS has already reported his joining at his new place of posting in Srinagar.
Some officials in the Forest department Head quarter on the condition of anonymity informed that Shri Tej Bahadur Singh, IFS is controversial officer who is also facing a departmental enquiry constituted by Commissioner/Secretary Forests on 14-06-2018 on the issue of harassment of a junior IFS officer for undescribable reasons.
Shri Tej Bahadur Singh, IFS during his posting as DFO, Bhaderwah also lost an official Maruti Gypsy from his personal residence in Chhanni Himmat under doubtful circumstances which still remains untraced which may have security implications for the state. On his transfer from Bhaderwah to Doda he unauthorizedly took away official computer & printer from the Bhaderwah forest Division. On the above, department is contemplating another enquiry soon. A senior Officer’s source also informed that as Conservator of Forests, Chenab Shri TB Singh, IFS took many actions for which the post was not competent and this thing is known to Government and Forest HQ.
Sources informed that several RTI’s have been filed on Shri Tej Bahadur Singh’s educational qualifications on the basis of which he managed his induction into the IFS despite being appointed as Forrester in early 1981. Sources also informed that Shri Tej Bahadur Singh have submitted wrong and misleading facts to high court so that he can go back to post of CF, Chenab where he will continue his unethical activities and remove the evidences of his past misconduct.
