Budgam: Jammu and Kashmir Teacher’s Forum Budgam in collaboration with Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Humhama on Saturday organised a farewell ceremony in honour of the outgoing teacher of the school who happens to be one among the founder fathers of JKTF, Mr Ghulam Muhammad Bhat in Budgam.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Holy Qur’an which was done by Mr Muhammad Ayoub Bhat, Zonal President Nagaam. This was followed by a heart-touching and soul-refreshing “Naat” in the mesmerising voice of Mr. Muhammad Maqbool Beigh, Zonal president Soibugh. The affectionate students of Hr Sec School Humhama presented a welcome song in honour of the guests present on the occasion. The esteemed guests included Mr Muhammad Akbar Khan, State Vice-Chairman JKTF, Mr Muhammad Afzal Bhat Provincial President JKTF, Mr Harpal Singh Pali, Mr Peer Nisar, Mr Bashir Ahmad Thokar, Mr Ghulam Nabi Sofi, Mr Muhammad Shafi Rather District President JKTF Budgam, Mr Muhammad Ashraf Ahangar, Mr Sheikh Gulzar Ahmad, Secretary JKTF Budgam.
Among other dignitaries who were also present on this occasion were Mr Ghulam Hassan War, State Resource Person and a Veteran Scholar and Lecturer in English. Mr Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, retired lecturer English and an eminent figure among the resource bank of the States. From the administrative side Worthy Zonal Education Officer Budgam, Mtr Samiya Geelani, Worthy Zonal Education Planning Officer Budgam, Mtr Tehmeena Bano. Respected Head Master of the Host School were also present on this occasion. Esteemed District Education Planning Officer Mr Farooq Ahmad Raina also graced the occasion for a short span of time.
The programme was rocked by different speakers who seemed influenced by Mr Bhat. Worthy District President JKTF Budgam, Mr Muhammad Shafi Rather enraptured, bewitched and entranced the spectators with his magnetic voice. The speech of Mr Muhammad Afzal Bhat was a treat to the ears and he unfolded the secret of selfless service to the nation. Mr Muhammad Akbar Khan enthralled the audience with his usual magical speech. The audience felt hypnotised and captivated by his soft words. Mr Peer Nisar read a message to the audience from Worthy Chairman JKTF/President EJAC, Mr Abdul Qayoom Wani, who couldn’t attend the function due to bad health. The superannuating official was felicitated, presented bouquets, garlanded and offered gifts, momentos as a token of affection and reverence towards this great human being. The guests present on the occasion were also presented “Kashmiri Shawls” as a mark of respect by worthy District President JKTF Budgam. The ceremony culminated with the emotional speech of Mr Ghulam Muhammad Bhat. All the honoured guests were served lunch and soon after the whole party accompanied Mr Bhat to his residence.
