Srinagar, Jul 17: The district administration Kulgam on Tuesday demolished the construction of New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) in the district.
Notably, the demolition of the construction took place after Kashmir News Service carried a news report about it wherein locals had demanded an investigation against the construction agency.
Earlier, the locals in the Khul Ahmadabad in Kulgam have stopped the construction work of New Type Primary Health Centre alleging that the construction agency had deviated from the original DPR that estimated one crore eighty seven lakh.
They had alleged that as per DPR the plinth had to be raised two feet underground, however the plinth has not been raised as per the prescribe format. The locals said that any kind of negligence in the construction of the hospital may later cause a serious catastrophe therefore it was necessary for the construction agency to go as per the prescribed and approved DPR.
Meanwhile, the authorities in the district headed by Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam Khawaja Nazir Ahmad razed the construction of the NTPHC. (KNS)
