Pulwama, July 30: A large number of mourners participated in the last rites of Naseer Ahmed who was killed by suspected militants on Sunday evening when he was coming out from his house in Naira village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Naseer was posted in Pulwama with Para-military Central Reserve Police Force.
No militant outfit claimed the responsibility of his killing. The slain trooper hails from Naira village, which is also the native hamlet of PDP youth leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra who while expressing grief over the killing of Naseer said that he was his classmate, neighbor and friend.
Witnesses told news agency CNS that a large number of people participated in the last rites of Naseer Ahmed. He was laid to rest in his native graveyard amid sobs and sighs.
“Naseer had a humble background who had joined CRPF to meet his both ends meet. He was pious and noble,” said Shakeel Ahmed one of his relatives. (CNS)
