13th July one of the sparkling days of our resistance history// Incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik….

Strongly condemns the brutal killing of Trehgam youth Khalid Gaffar…

Srinagar, 12 July:  13th  July is one of the sparkling days of our resistance history when Kashmiris raised their voices against illegal occupation, oppressive rule and tyranny, endured bullets on their chests and refused to bow their heads before the forces of falsehood and tyranny. Present struggle is actually the continuation of the struggle started in 1931. Our young ones are being pushed to the wall and killed with impunity. Trehgam Killing has added yet another black chapter of oppression in annals of human history. This was stated by the chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik in a message sent out from custody where he is languishing from 6th of July 2017.

JKLF chairman, who was taken into custody by police on 6th July 2018, is lodged at police station Kothi-bagh. For the past two days; police authorities have prevented party members, relatives and friends from meeting him, which is highly regrettable. JKLF spokesman while condemning this police highhandedness said that Kashmir is a police state where law of Jungle prevails.

Terming 1931 martyrs as symbol of freedom and bravery, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who is in police custody from 6th July 2018, said that today we are remembering martyrs who demonstrated unparallel courage and stood firm against tyranny and oppression, endured bullets on their chests and refused to bow before tyranny, illegal occupation and dictatorship. He said that the present people’s revolution that started in 1988 is actually a continuation of the struggle started in 1931. The struggle going on today is a continuation of 1931 and so is the tyranny, oppression and subjugation same as of that era, JKLF chief said. It is ironical that rulers and other pro-India forces despite being agents of oppression celebrate martyr’s day and shower flowers on the graves of martyrs and try to deceive people of Kashmir, so-called rulers who are suppressing voices of masses by unabated innocent killings, putting thousands behind bars, blinding and maiming thousands and unleashing reign of terror should feel some shame before commemorating Martyrs days and showering flowers on their graves, said Incarcerated JKLF chairman. He said that to sabotage joint Resistance leadership peaceful program on 13th July, police and forces have already started a reign of terror and suppression throughout Kashmir. Leaders have been either arrested or put under house arrest and thousands of people including young boys have been arrested and put behind bars. All these horrible acts prove that these so-called rulers and their masters in Delhi and Nagpur have no faith in any kind of democracy or humanity and also that these people are afraid of the popularity of resistance leadership.

Terming the brutal killing of yet another young man namely Khalid Gaffar who was fired into chest and killed yesterday by Indian occupational army, JKLF incarcerated chairman said that Trehgam Killing has added yet another black chapter of oppression in the annals of human history. Our hearts and souls are bleeding and eyes weeping on this continuing genocide but at the same time we want to tell our oppressor that this genocide cannot stop our march to freedom and our struggle will continue till we achieve our desired goal.

Meanwhile JKLF vice chairman sheikh Muhammad Afzal and Zahoor Ahmad Butt along with a delegation today visited Trehgam and participated in the funeral prayers of martyr Kahlid Gaffar. JKLF leaders addressed a gathering on the occasion and strongly condemned this brutal killing. While expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of the martyr, JKLF leader prayed for their Sabr-I-Jamil and paid rich tributes to the martyr.
