Drabu flies from Mumbai to meet Sajad Lone in Delhi

Srinagar, Jul 05: In what could be termed as an all out effort for the formation of a new government in the state, People’s Conference Chairman and former Minister Sajad Gani Lone has held meeting with Senior PDP leader and former Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu in National Capital this evening.
KNS has learnt from sources that the two met in Taj Palace in New Delhi this evening and deliberated upon the current political situation of the state.
Drabu who according to sources flew from Mumbai to meet Lone in Delhi discussed issues emerging out from the collapse of PDP-BJP government in the state.
Both leaders are understood to have discussed the political fallout of the revolt within PDP camp and its impact on the political landscape of the state.
KNS has learnt that both the leaders also discussed the statements of various PDP MLAs regarding their unwillingness to hold elections afresh and endorsed the view that fresh elections would mean betraying the public mandate who had voted them for six years. Another PDP MLC was also present in the meeting. (KNS)
