Poor Airtel network irks Khiram residents

Anantnag, July 06: Bharti Airtel, the country’s largest private cellular network providerfailed to provide quality calling and internet service to the inhabitants of Village Khiram and its adjacent areas .The Airtel Subscribers from Khiram, village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district are in difficult situation due to the low network coverage. Cellular network provider in the Village Khiram lack proper infrastructure to provide services.

“We conveyed it to Bharti Airtel Customer Care and Nodal Officer that from last Eight months we are facing networking problem, they assured us, “A new site is planned in your area and it should be on-air by end of June. This will enhance the signal quality and improve your network experience in your Area,but all in vain. “Subscribers said.

They added, “Although Airtel is the leading telecommunication company, but the company failed to provide quality calling and internet service to the people of these villages.”

“I was trying to reach out to my friends on WhatsApp since 10 am but couldn’t as my phone signal went haywire, “We have to wait for hours to get our calls connected” subscriber told this reporter.

The Subscribers requested the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ( TRAI )to intervention in this network matter so that the Bharti Airtel will restore the calling cum Internet services in the area, so that inhabiatnts of the village may not face any Inconvenience in future.
