Srinagar, July 3: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat Employees Union on Tuesday urged the Governor N N Vohra-led government to address the issues of employees and approve the pay anomaly.
An official statement issued here said that an emergency meeting of the Union was held under the chairmanship of its president Ghulam Rasool Mir, in which various important issues were discussed.
“The burning issue of employees presently is the removal of pay anomalies which has been cleared by the committee and recommendations were also approved by the government for placing before the cabinet,” the statement said.
The meeting observed that due to the imposition of Governor’s rule, the issue needs to be placed before SAC instead of Cabinet.
The Union sought the attention of Governor N N Vora to approve pay anomalies in SAC “so that justice is done after decades”.
“Other issues including the early cadre review, eviction of illegal quarters, allotment thereof to deserving employees, construction of quarters, out sourcing of Secretariat Canteen/Sanitation, and burning issue of SSA teachers were also discussed during the meeting,” the statement said. (GNS)
