‘50 residential houses damaged partially, no loss of life, injury reported’

Srinagar, Jul 04: At least 40-50 residential houses got partially damaged while a residential house fully damaged in Beerwah area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district due to the fast blowing windstorm on Tuesday evening, officials said.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), police officials said that the at least 40-50 residential houses in Beerwah area got damaged due to the heavy windstorm on Tuesday evening.
They further divulged that a residential house has got completely damaged due to the windstorm.
However, the officials informed that no loss of life or injury was reported during the incident.
Meanwhile, locals informed KNS that the rooftops, windows, and other things of the residential houses here got damaged due to the windstorm here.
The windstorm had also wrecked havoc in other areas of Srinagar including Harwan, Shalimar and Kashmir University.
According to the reports, several vehicles parked in the premises of varsity got damaged after the tree got uprooted due to the fast blowing windstorm.
At scores of other places, the trees were got uprooted, resulting in damage to the properties of people. (KNS)
