Srinagar, Aug 27: Amid conflicting reports about the hearing on a fresh petition against article 35 A filed by BJP leader Ashwani Uphadyha, the Awami National Conference leader Muzaffar Shah said that the petition is not coming up for hearing but is likely to be posted for a date for hearing on the petition.
Meanwhile, J&K Government Counsel Shoeb Alam has said that if any fresh petition has been filed against article 35 A it will be clubbed with the bunch of petitions already list for hearing on August 31″
Talking to Kashmir News Service Awami National Conference Senior Vice President Muzaffar Shah said ” some media reports about the hearing on a fresh petition against Article 35-A filed by a BJP leader Ashwini Upadhya has caused anxiety to concern people but upon confirming the latest status about the status of Upadhya’s petition against Article 35-A we were told by the concerned quarters of the Supreme Court that Upadhya’s petition against Article 35 A is not listed for hearing today but has been posted for the date of hearing”.
Meanwhile, Shoeb Alam the Counsel for J&K Government on article 35-A in the Supreme Court told KNS “If any fresh petition has been filed it would be clubbed with the bunch of petitions listed for hearing on Aug 31. The case is not coming up for hearing today” (KNS)
