LeT claims responsibility
Anantnag, Aug 3: A cop and a trooper were injured after suspected militants lobbed a grenade on them.
The incident occurred at Mehandi Kadal Lal Chowk area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police official while confirming the incident said that militants tossed a grenade on a CRPF party resulting in the injuries of a cop and a trooper. He said the injured were shifted to hospital and are stable.
Meanwhile, militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba claimed the responsibility of the attack. In a statement to news agency CNS, the outfit said that two troopers were injured in the attack. (CNS)
