Srinagar, Aug 09: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Thursday paid tributes to its slain commander Ali Muhammad Dar alias Burhan-ud-Hijazi on his 20thanniversary.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, the Hizb spokesman, Saleem Hashmi while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as saying that “Burhan-ud-din Hijazi was not only a military expert but was the kind and intellectual person. Besides being Mujahid for in his life, he became the heartbeat of people after he left this world.”
“The enemies were also appreciating the abilities of the slain commander. He sacrificed his entire life for the freedom struggle. His martyrdom changed the history and his every drop of blood has given birth to thousands of Burhans,” he said as per the statement while addressing a function organized on Dar’s anniversary.
He said that “the mission of Ali Muhammad Dar is on and will continue till any logical conclusion.”
Meanwhile, the statement added that Hizb vice chairman, Saifullah Khalid, commander Shamseer Khan and commander Taj Ali Shah also spoke on the occasion who said that “the way opted by the slain commander was the right path, which will also help in achieving the goal.”
On the occasion, tributes were paid to all the Kashmiri martyrs especially Ali Muhammad Dar and those who were killed in Rafiabad encounter on Wednesday. (KNS)
