Srinagar, Aug 22: Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated across the subcontinent including Kashmir with full religious gaiety and fervour. In Srinagar , biggest Eid congregation was held at historic Eidgah where thousands of faithful including All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq a offered congregational Eid prayers.
While addressing the massive Eid gathering before prayers, Mirwaiz said no power can temper with the heridatory state subject law and the people of all three regions in unison are ready to defend their citizenship law with their blood and with full force.Mirwaiz said in case supreme court announces any adverse decision against the aspirations and sentiments of people of JK, people across the State would hit the streets and Govt of India will be responsible for all the repurcussions.
Mirwaiz welcomed the Statement by the Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan about resolving Kashmir through dialouge stating that he was hopeful that Delhi would show a positive response to Khans remarks and take concrete steps to resolve the vexed issue of Kashmir.New Delhi must shun its military approach as that can’t resolve the Kashmir and that it was high time to accept ground realities and start a meaningful dialogue among all parties
Mirwaiz hailed the resilience of Kashmiri political prisoners languishing in and outside prisons for years stating that on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Azha entire nation salutes these bravehearts and those framed in fake cases by the NIA and ED.
